Away from the business — Berislav
He runs. Most mornings, early, usually up Sljeme.
In early 2010 he could not cover three kilometres. That November he finished the New York City Marathon, and he has since completed every World Marathon Major — a Seven Star finisher. Running, hiking and road cycling are all still in the week.
The discipline is not performative. After fracturing both shoulders he was back to light jogging in twenty-eight days. He describes running as scheduling rather than a hobby, and it is where the firm’s view about starting before you feel ready actually comes from.
Away from all of it he is a family man, and manages the global blues-rock career of his eighteen-year-old son, Odin.

Away from the business — Odin
He plays the blues, and has done since he was twelve.
Odin picked up a guitar in 2020 and has written more than thirty original songs since. European Blues Union scholarships took him to Little Steven’s Blues School in Notodden, Norway, and to the Pinetop Perkins Foundation workshop in Clarksdale, Mississippi — the Delta, where the music started.
In 2024 he represented Croatia at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. He has since played Zagreb, Nashville, Clarksdale, Jackson, Franklin, Palo Alto, Notodden, Vienna, Barcelona, Maribor and Lago di Garda. His 2026 single “Bottom of the Circle” was produced by Fabrizio Grossi.

Milestones
Two lives, one dated axis
Where the two of them came from, in order. Both are stories about starting before you feel ready — which is where the firm got its name.

Oracle
Joins Oracle after selling data warehouse systems at BusinessObjects. Over eleven years he becomes Sales Director for 17 European countries.

New York, the first marathon
Earlier that year he could not run three kilometres. In November he finishes the New York City Marathon.

The Majors
Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, Tokyo and New York inside two and a half years. He goes on to complete every World Marathon Major — a Seven Star finisher.

Run Croatia
Leaves a corporate career to co-found Run Croatia — a platform built around health, lifestyle and community.

The first Zagreb Advent Run
A costumed December race through the decorated city. It becomes the largest event of its kind in Europe.

Odin picks up a guitar. In his own words: "I didn’t discover the Blues — it discovered me."
